I always brag about my Silverudd's to everyone - they are by far my favorite breed! Their friendly and docile personalities are second to none. Not to mention they produce the most gorgeous eggs! They are most known for being the only pure breed to lay olive eggs.
My hens are covered by a blue rooster. Flock lines include Feathered Feet Farm, Into the Meadows, Moss & Meadows, & Tim Oliver.
Silverudd’s Blue eggs aren’t always speckled. A lot of times I find the blooms are hiding them. Some days the eggs are more speckled than others and sometimes a hen will lay a completely plain egg. But my entire SB flock has speckled genes and all of the shades of blue and green are still beautiful.
