I will do my best to select chicks I think are pullets and are expressing the most fibro. Our first generation Zombies are a hybrid cross of an Ayam Cemani rooster over White Leghorn and American Bresse hens. The chicks may be sexable at hatch by comb color if they express good fibro - females will have a dark grey comb and noticeably darker legs and beaks, whereas males will have yellow to pale grey combs but still may have dark legs. However, I have experienced some that develop fibro a week or two after hatch that I thought were males and ended up being females, same goes the other way around. NEW for 2025 - backcross zombies may also be included. These are a Zombie hen crossed back to an Ayam Cemani roo, these chicks are not sexable at hatch but express more fibro, and in my opinion, are a lot flashier!
